What is the course about?

Discover Greek Taster Course will offer you an insight into the oldest recorded living language, with written records spanning over 34 centuries. Greek has also influenced languages, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy. Did you know that there more than 6.000 words in the English vocabulary? Yes! You speak Greek, you just don’t know it!

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don’t have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

A short into to the Greek alphabet; greetings; asking and telling your name; where you are from

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to…

- read and speak several Modern Greek words
- identify several English words derived from Greek.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This is a taster course. You do not need any particular skills.
